Julie A. D\u2019Arcy <\/strong>lives in rural Victoria, Australia with her two spoiled Oriental cats, Alara and Keila named after two characters <\/strong>from<\/strong> her books.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

She grew up reading the likes of Lord of the Rings, Once and Future King<\/em> and every fairy tale she could get her hands on.\u00a0Later, falling in love with the works of David Gemmell, Terry Brooks, and Johanna Lindsey.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Her love of both the Fantasy and Romance genres<\/strong> prompted her to try her hand at writing her own novel.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Her first book, Time of the Wolf,<\/em> was published in 1999 and went on to win the\u00a01999 Dorothy Parker RIO Award for Women\u2019s fantasy fiction. She was also runner up in the Australian RWA Ruby Award, the U.S.A, PEARL AWARD and the SAPPHIRE AWARD.\u00a0(Time of the Wolf <\/em>has been given an update and several scenes have been added. \u2018The Wild Rose Press published the new version early this year.)<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Julie <\/strong>has published seven full length novels, and four novellas<\/strong> and <\/strong>has just finished <\/strong>writing another \u201cTarlisian Saga.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u2018The Cross of Tarlis: The Awakening\u2019 <\/em>is to be released 2021 and \u2018The Cross of Tarlis: The Reckoning,\u2019<\/em> to follow later in late 2021 or early 2022.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

She looked so lovely, so sweet and innocent sitting in her tub of rose-petaled water, Malkinda could well-nigh believe he had dreamed the whole scene in the secret room. He had gone back to the tiny chamber again before approaching the queen. All evidence of the happening had vanished as if it had never been.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Anaya gave a sensuous smile, <\/strong>stretched,<\/strong> and rose from the sunken bath. Malkinda picked up a white fur robe from a nearby chair and laid it around her pale shoulders as she walked up the steps into his arms. She kissed him fully on the lips. He controlled the revulsion that entered his body and set her aside.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

She smiled knowingly.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cDid you enjoy the show earlier?\u201d She hugged the fur to her damp skin.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The <\/strong>duke<\/strong> paled. \u201cI do not know what you mean, my lady.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cAnd I am sure you do. I knew you were there from the moment you stepped up to the wall. Did you think I did not know of the tunnels? I know everything that happens in this castle.\u201d Anaya ran a slender hand down the length of his arm. \u201cYou will answer me. Did you enjoy yourself?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Malkinda hesitated. What could he say that would not anger her or make her suspicious of the revulsion he now felt for her? \u201cIt was most entertaining. My only regret is that I could not join you.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

His words pacified her.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

\u201cPerhaps next time,\u201d she smiled, \u201cI will allow you to do just that.\u201d She dropped her robe to the floor and looked at him expectantly.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
