Improved endurance, weight loss, and stress reduction just to name a few. With these benefits also comes risk of injury. Each foot is a complex structure that has 28 bones, 33 joints, and 112 ligaments. Needless to say there are a lot of things that can go wrong. Suppose there was a shoe that would alert you before an injury occurs. That is exactly what project RUNSAFER (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.runsafer.eu\/\">www.runsafer.eu<\/a>) is working on.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Project RUNSAFER is developing a shoe with embedded sensors to measure the forces being applied to the foot during running. The information will then be transferred to a phone app providing the runner with real time feedback and make suggestions regarding running form or advise you to stop running before an injury occurs.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The shoe is not expected to go into production until early 2015.
