Compatibilizers fall into three classes:

  • Bipolar Copolymers – Work only on polymers that match the polarity of the copolymer. Do not couple fillers and other inorganic contaminants.
  • Maleated Copolymers – Work only on Addition polymers such as polyolefins, but DEPOLYMERIZE Condensation polymers such as PET and Nylon. Couple polymers but not fillers – are not catalysts.
  • In Situ Macromolecule Catalysts – Thermally stable Ken-React® Titanates catalyze in the polymer melt to compatibilize Addition and Condensation polymers of any polarity while coupling through proton coordination to any inorganic or organic reducing your job of separating out contaminants. Will work synergistically with maleated polymers.
